Joomla 4: a new beginning
A preview of Joomla 4 and its main changes: the Atum admin template, the Cassiopeia frontend template optimised for SEO and accessibility, the new Media Manager and native publishing workflows for multilingual business environments.
At JoomlaDay Italia in Turin I brought a preview of Joomla 4, the release that marked a genuine “new beginning” for the project after years of Joomla 3.
The talk walks through the changes that matter for anyone building serious sites: the new Atum admin panel, cleaner and more usable; the stock Cassiopeia template, rethought around SEO and accessibility rather than aesthetics alone; the new Media Manager with adaptive image editing; and above all the native Publishing Workflows, the editorial flows designed for newsrooms and business environments, often multilingual.
The thread is that Joomla 4 was not a simple restyle: it was the platform aligning itself with modern needs for performance, accessibility and editorial processes. A preview of where the ecosystem was heading.
The slides are in Italian.
