Integrating Joomla! and Magento with MageBridge

A Joomla! content site and a Magento ecommerce store speaking the same language: users, cart and SEO connected through MageBridge, without duplicating data or work.

At JoomlaDay Italia in Florence I covered one of the most useful — and most misunderstood — integrations of the time: making a Joomla! CMS for content and a Magento ecommerce for selling live together, without building two separate worlds.

The bridge is MageBridge: shared users, a cart you can surface inside Joomla, navigation and SEO consistency across the two platforms. The talk shows what it means in practice to avoid duplication — of data, of logins, of editorial work — and which trade-offs you should know before choosing this path.

It is a very “2015” topic technology-wise, but the lesson is timeless: when content and commerce live in different tools, the value lies in making them speak the same language instead of keeping them in two silos.

The slides are in Italian.
